Scarlet Macaw Tour in Red Bank
Discover the stunning Scarlet Macaws in their natural habitat at Red Bank Village.
Every year, Red Bank Village in the Stann Creek District becomes a stage for one of nature’s most colorful performances — the arrival of the radiant Scarlet Macaws. Located 32 miles off the Thomas Vincent Ramos Highway, this remote village becomes a birdwatcher’s paradise from November to March, when over 200 macaws gather to feed — a rare and breathtaking sight.
Just 45 minutes from Hopkins or one hour from Placencia, the journey to Red Bank offers a scenic drive followed by either a short walk or a moderate 30-minute hike, depending on where the birds are feeding that day. Sometimes, you might even catch a stunning view from the Swasey River outlook. Along the way, keep an eye out for other wildlife — the trails can be full of surprises.
Let Belize Untold guide you to this unforgettable experience.
